On our way out of town last weekend I almost made Matty wreck the car because I squealed at such a high volume. He thought we may have just dodged an accident, but no, I had spotted a "coming soon" sign for tasti-D-lite! I can hardly contain my excitement, and am counting down the days till I can get my sweet treat here in Nashvegas. The only sad part is now my list of reasons for moving to NYC has gotten shorter.

Ok Nashvillians, if you haven't tried Krave yogurt in Green Hills, it's time! If you are familiar with Pinkberry of L.A., Krave could be it's kissin cousin. Even the logo looks lifted. Like Pinkberry, Krave comes with the ever loved original tart flavor, which I loved! I decided against some of the more indulgent toppings and piled on the fresh fruit! The taste is so fresh and the texture is very similar to home-made ice cream. The decor is hiply modern with a citrus twist of color! The only bummer is that they only accept cash and checks, so come prepared! You will find Krave tucked between Blockbuster and Blimpie off Abbott Martin Road.

I can't get over the loveliness from fellow Nashvillian Chelsea Petaja and her line, oh my deer. I am especially in love with the shoe pretties! Check out her store and blog! You may also recognize her last name. She is the Mrs. of the ever so brilliant photographer Tec Petaja.

Something heavy on my heart lately is the desire to support our local farmers. To be honest, I had never heard of a CSA (community supported agriculture) until 2 years ago. I think a lot of people shy away from the idea because of inconvenience and the thought of getting a box full of endive and parsnips. This is why I was excited to learn of Fresh Harvest. Located just outside Nashville, Fresh Harvest is a unique CSA combined of 2 farms. You only order what you like, in the amounts that suit your needs, and you are not obligated to order every week. It's chemical free, organically grown, and food that you have heard of! They also deliver your food for the week to the heart of Nashville. It doesn't get more convenient than that! If you are looking for a farm or a CSA to join, check out Local Harvest for a list near you.

Please forgive the amount of Nashville posts lately, I am just so in love with our happy little town and all it's offerings! This weekend Mr. Matty and I were scooting around town and decided to check out the newest cupcake bakery to hit Nashville. After she grabbed me and said, "finally....an amazing cupcake place in town", I knew I was in for a treat! When you arrive at the Cupcake Collection you think you are at someone's house. That's because you are. The sweet family of 6 converted there living room into a bakery and did it all by themselves. Mignon and husband Francois greet you with a smile and hello the minute you walk in, and little Xavier rings you up at the register. The cupcakes are delicious and only cost you $1.50 in a $3.00 cupcake world. My favorites are wedding cake and sweet lemonade, but Matty insists on the chocolate and marble swirl. They are open every day but Saturday, that's family time. You will find their house tucked back over in Germantown, just down the street from Monell's. When you go, tell Mignon I said hi! Read more about this adorable family outfit here.

Located at 1213 6th Ave. N, (phone: 615-244-2900) The Cupcake Collection is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

I am a huge fan of roller derby! So much so that I am a jeerleader (my derby name is Princess Sleia) for our squad here in Nashville! Last night was the first bout of the season...and it was amazing!

Bobbie's Dairy Dip has re-opened after their winter hibernation! That dipped cone is calling your name!

My "thrift score thursday" actually happened last night when a friend gave Mr. Matty and me free tickets to the Nashville event, Iron Fork. It's like the tv show Iron Chef, but with local chefs competing and no secret ingredient. Other local restaurants supplied free entrees, desserts and even drinks! We had loads of amazing food and even got to say hi to our favorite chef in town, Tandy Wilson of City House. Congrats to Jeremy Barlow of Tayst who was the overall winner!

We love when a new restaurant opens just around the corner from our house! We love it more when it serves tacos, margaritas and has a sprawling patio with lights strung from all corners. Lucky for us, The Local Taco is open and ready for business. The Local Taco specializes in a fusion of traditional Mexican food with southern home-style cooking flare! Think grandma's fried chicken, fish, or brisket in a taco! I recommend the spicy shrimp tacos with jalapeno cole slaw and a frozen margarita! Check out The Local Taco in Sylvan Park next to The Green Wagon and Cafe Nonna.

I got an email today about this sale and had to share! Some of the best boutiques in Nashville, that I normally can't afford, are up to 90% off! This Sunday, February 8th from 12pm-5pm at Carissa's in Hillsboro Village. Boutique Bella, Cami, Emmaline, Gin-O, Habit, Hemline, Ivey on Main, Posh, Studio 615, and Snapkids will all be participating! I would get there early or those Chip & Pepper's you have been wanting will be gone!

Almost every Saturday, Mr. Matty and I visit our favorite lunch spot Hot Diggity Dogs. From the logo, checkerboard floors, and turqouise and red decor, this tiny eatery is brimming with charm. Gayle greets you with the her signature spunk, draped in the sweetest southern accent. We love when she yells our order to the kitchen staff standing about 5 inches away. My favorite is a veggie dog, on the grill, fixed like a "nashville". Matty likes his dog loaded with a bit of everything which Gayle informs him is a "build your own". We top off the meal with a home-cooked bag of fries and a coke! If you live in Nashville, make your way to Hot Diggity Dogs for the best dog in town!
