("Duchess," 8"x 10", oil on canvas,
nfs, private commission)

Well, contrary to my belief I suppose I CAN paint horses! This is only the 2nd horse I've ever attempted to paint, but I have to say I am really thrilled with how it's coming together! Stay tuned for the grand finale!...The 'Duchess' is complete, and I am also really happy with the end result on this piece. I think the ornate chair really fits this little lady, don't you agree? :)
(*Update, I finished the horse painting, and replaced the image above so you can see how it turned out...fingers crossed that the owner is happy too!:)

I think I am in love with the color Sepia, so much so I started yet another blog...I know, I need another blog like I need a 3rd arm, but why not?...there's something about the rustic look & feel it gives to the subject matter...it's funny how sometimes the absence of color can truly bring out the beauty of something...well at least I hope to have done that here ;)

I was inspired this weekend to do some paintings inspired by flea markets and of course Flea Market Style Magazine! All of these have a bit of a sepia, vintage vibe and frankly my dear I love them! I just wish my camera would take better photos! Be sure to enter my Flea Market Style Magazine Giveaway below! I have 2 FREE ISSUES to give away plus a giclee print of your choice from my store (sorry, no originals this time!)
