I just cannot get enough of blue and white!I'm not sure what it is about the color combination, but it just seems to work...these pieces are available in my store on Etsy along with some other little gems! :) **Buy HANDMADE for the Holidays**

With the holidays fast approaching I managed to get a few small oil paintings done for my etsy store. Most are painted on stretched canvas with the edges painted, no need for framing, they can be hung as is! Please take a peek here at my store on etsy and feel free to pass this post along to family & friends!
*And a reminder to check out Kate's blog here for some GREAT giveaways from such talented people as Annechovie, Janet Hill, Lisa Leonard Designs, Style Key West, & many more!( my giveaway will be on her blog today!! :)
**Linking this up to the following blog parties :)

Special thank-you to Sweet Harvey for including me in their treasury & Feature Friday! I love nice people!

I think I am in love with the color Sepia, so much so I started yet another blog...I know, I need another blog like I need a 3rd arm, but why not?...there's something about the rustic look & feel it gives to the subject matter...it's funny how sometimes the absence of color can truly bring out the beauty of something...well at least I hope to have done that here ;)
Available on etsy.

"An American in Paris...(Madame X, after Sargent)", 8"x 10",
oil on stretched canvas,
(SOLD,thank you!)

I cannot begin to tell you just how much fun this piece was to paint! As soon as I saw this painting I immediately envisioned a scene depicting a quiet corner of what might have been Madame's bedroom or parlor...she looks so regal in her black, velvet dress...ready for the opera perhaps or a glamorous ball. And if she were around today I think she just might have a pair of Christian Louboutin heels gracing her feet!

(*I am adding this to the Hooked on Fridays Blog Party because I am hooked on doing these little Master Portrait Studies!I SO enjoy doing each and every one!:o)
To see one I recently did of Mary Cassatt's, "The Bath," click here.
(**Be sure to check out the AWESOME ART GIVEAWAY on Laura Trevey's Blog, she does beautiful, beach inspired watercolor paintings!)

And here is another winner's painting from my recent Blog Art Giveaway! Meet 'Mini Mason' as I like to call this piece as it is a little 3"x 4" gem of an adorable Golden Retriever named Mason, from "Who Says Dogs Don't Blog...the Day and the Life of Mason Dixie"...I will be announcing the next winner soon, so stay tuned! :o)

"Ocean Breezes," 9"x 12",
oil on canvas, (available on etsy)
"Bows on Her Toes (the Remix)," 9"x 12",
oil on canvas, (available on etsy)

So I decided recently to start yet another blog...true, I need another blog like I need a hole in the head, but humor me and take a look-see :) at Turquoise Tuesday!

I bought a pair of these on a whim and can't take them off! They look good with everything and make your feet look like a Barbie doll! I guess I am going to have to get the ones in brown too!

A big thanks to my wonderful and stylish friend Anna for introducing me to Marais USA. Hip and affordable shoes that take away the dreaded search for that hard to find color! Brilliant!

I will feel very loved by receiving any of these, designed by Mr. Louboutin.

Hi my name is Melodie and I was a Crocs hater, until last summer. I fell in love with these in peacock blue and they were so comfy my flip flops were instantly replaced. This weekend I was searching for a new pair when I stumbled upon these beauties. I am a sucker for anything patent and popping with color! My hate has officially turned to love!

How adorable are these shoes for Spring! Don't you love the nautical messenger bag? Psst...it's on sale. Best part, they are all from Payless!
