Hey guys :) I have been so busy since getting here so I finally have some time now to tell you what I've been up to so far! Its just gone midnight (tomorrow is Friday!) right now and I am in bed :)

I had a lovely flight with a bit of turbulence but it was fine after I stopped freaking out. Sat with some lovely Disney people and we played trivia games on our little individual entertainment systems! And I ate mac and cheese! Then we got off the flight and queued at security for ages, and then had to all go to immigration to be security checked! They took us all into this little room and made us wait while they messed about with our visas. We landed at 3.30pm but didn't get to our apartment until 8.30pm! Which was all very tiring. We got to our apartment which is lovely and in a gorgeous housing complex just for us Disney programme people.

So I'm in a 4 bedroom flat. 2 people in each bedroom so 8 of us here in total. It has 2 bathrooms and then an extra toilet room. So the bathroom is between 2 bedrooms. So I share that with 3 others, but its okay so far. And then theres a massive living room and a smallish kitchen and an outdoors veranda. I share a bedroom with a girl called Heather who I had met and spoken to already so its nice to share with someone you already know. And then the other girls are all French and Turkish. Our bedroom has a big walk in wardrobe which is cool! And we have our own wash basin.

The complex has 1,500 people living on it apparently, it is huge! And it has a lovely swimming pool which I just love :)

The complex pool!

After we got to our apartment we went to Walmart. I didn't buy much but spent $45 as it's surprisingly expensive. I bought a baguette with ham and cheese which cost $5! And it wasn't tasty.

That night I had 5 hours sleep then we had a meeting at 8am. It was pretty boring. It was just a big presentation and I was just so tired! Then we went to have lunch and I got a Subway for lunch - yummy, steak and cheese sub! Then had our photos taken and got given our ID cards. That evening we went into Downtown Disney to get some dinner. I had a lush blue cheese and bacon burger - nom!

The next day I went down to the pool at 10.30am and stayed there until 1pm. Got a bit of a tan but not much. Chest is a bit red in fact lol. Its sooo hot. But the pool is lush :) Had to go to do some more paperwork in the afternoon, and I officially found out I am working at Blizzard Beach waterpark. I am on Quick Service Food and Beverage so will be working at Lottawatta Lodge. Apparently working at the waterparks is good though as they close early, unlike Magic Kingdom which stays open pretty much all night!

In the evening another group of us went down to Boardwalk and got dinner at Beaches and Cream! Lovely little ice cream parlour and I had another steak and cheese sub! And a big brownie ice cream! Yum! And then we watched Finding Nemo on the big screen on the little beach.

Yesterday I had 'Traditions' at 2pm. I had to wear business attire so had my smart clothes ready! It was sooo hot wearing a black dress and proper shoes all day! We also finally got our free passes to visit all the parks! Mickey Mouse paid us a visit to give us our name tags!

Yipee!! We went to Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks :) I loved them! I went on 3 rides (Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion) and I thought they were all so dull but everyone else loves them lol. I don't like theme parks though, or rides. But I loved the lit up parade and fireworks so much :)

I was at Disney University again today doing some food hygiene training. It was boring. But I did find out my schedule for work. My longest shift is only 8 hours long and my shortest is 4. I have 2 days off a week as well :)

Afterwards a group of us went to the pool again for a few hours, and then went out to Epcot to see the fireworks and get dinner.

Now I finally have 2 days off :) I have had the busiest week ever, and I have probably had less than 20 hours sleep since Saturday. Exhausting.. but so worth it. I have met some amazing people and I am having the time of my life so far :) I will update again when I can!

xxx
